Sensex up 74pts; Maruti down 2%

The Sensex is now up 74 points at 13,946.

ICICI Bank has soared 3% to Rs 916. Reliance has advanced 2.2% to Rs 1,309.

Satyam and HDFC Bank have surged 1.5% each to Rs 509 and Rs 1,064, respectively. BHEL has moved up over 1% to Rs 2,304.

Maruti has slipped over 2% to Rs 947. Hindalco, ITC and Reliance Communications have shed 1.7% each to Rs 172, Rs 166 and Rs 457, respectively.

Out of 2,458 stocks traded so far, 1,833 have advanced, 575 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
