Sensex up 74pts; TCS, HDFC gain 3%

The Sensex is now up 74 points at 10,584.

TCS and HDFC have advanced 3% each to Rs 1,800 and Rs 1,199, respectively. Satyam has added 2.8% to Rs 711.

Bharti Airtel and Wipro have gained 2.5% each at Rs 380 and Rs 481, respectively.

Infosys and ONGC are up over 2% each at Rs 3,170 and Rs 1,115, respectively.

ICICI Bank has slipped over 2% to Rs 489. HLL and ITC are down 1% each at Rs 235 and Rs 174, respectively.

Out of 2,221 stocks traded so far, 1,281 have declined, 859 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
