Sensex up 75pts; BHEL slips 2%

The Sensex is now up 75 points at 14,131.

Tata Steel, HDFC Bank and Gujarat Ambuja have gained around 2.5% each at Rs 480, Rs 1,091 and Rs 144, respectively.

Reliance, Reliance Energy, Ranbaxy, Larsen & Toubro and ACC have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 1,363, Rs 534, Rs 428, Rs 1,490 and Rs 1,084, respectively.

Cipla and Hindalco are up 1% each at Rs 258 and Rs 173, respectively.

BHEL has dropped 2% to Rs 2,214. Hero Honda and Maruti have slipped over 1% each to Rs 735 and Rs 910, respectively.

Out of 2,659 stocks traded so far, 1,841 have moved up, 782 have declined and 36 are unchanged.
