Sensex up 77pts, HDFC gains 3%

The Sensex is now up 77 points (1%) at 7,197.

Infosys is steady at Rs 2,367 - up 1.9% (Rs 43). Satyam is up Rs 14 at Rs 503. TCS is still up Rs 15 at Rs 1,348. Wipro has declined Rs 7 to Rs 747.

ITC is now up 1.3% (Rs 20) at Rs 1,635. ONGC is still up 2% (Rs20) at Rs 1,014. Reliance has shed gains, but is still up Rs 3 at Rs 645.

Grasim is up Rs 12 at Rs 1,074. ACC and Gujarat Ambuja are also trading with gains.

HDFC has gained 2.9% (Rs 24) to Rs 876. HDFC Bank is still up 3% (Rs 18) at Rs 620. SBI and ICICI Bank are also in positive zones.

Hero Honda, Bajaj, Hindalco and L&T are steady at higher levels.

Declining shares are inching up - out of 2,398 scrips traded, 1,450 havemoved up, 859 are down and 89 are unchanged.
