Sensex up 77pts; Maruti spurts 2.5%

The Sensex is now up 77 points at 13,508.

Reliance Energy (REL) has surged 3% to Rs 531. Maruti has rallied 2.5% to Rs 893.

Satyam and TCS have advanced over 2% each to Rs 451 and Rs 1,138, respectively. Tata Motors and Dr.Reddy's have gained 1.8% each at Rs 817 and Rs 736, respectively.

Wipro, ITC, HLL and Bharti Airtel are up 1.5% each at Rs 563, Rs 181, Rs 247 and Rs 614, respectively.

HDFC has plunged nearly 3% (Rs 47) to Rs 1,618. Infosys has slipped 1.5% to Rs 2,220.

Out of 2,429 stocks traded so far, 1,768 have advanced, 583 have declined and 78 are unchanged.
