Sensex up 77pts; Ranbaxy gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 77 points at 14,011.

Ranbaxy has surged 2.5% to Rs 392. Reliance and Tata Steel have rallied 2% each to Rs 1,614 and Rs 564, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and BHEL have moved up 1.4% each to Rs 1,722 and Rs 2,530, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Maruti, SBI, Bajaj Auto and Bharti Airtel are up 1% each at Rs 476, Rs 816, Rs 1,142, Rs 2,595 and Rs 826, respectively.

Satyam has slipped nearly 1% to Rs 466. ONGC and Infosys are the other notable losers.
