Sensex up 77pts; REL up 3%

The Sensex is now up 77 points at 15,041.

Reliance Energy has soared 3% to Rs 616. Larsen & Toubro, ONGC and BHEL have surged nearly 2% each to Rs 2,410, Rs 86 and Rs 1,584, respectively.

Infosys and HDFC have rallied 1.5% each to Rs 2,001 and Rs 1,943, respectively.

Tata Motors, Wipro, NTPC and Bharti Airtel are up over 1% each at Rs 720, Rs 526, Rs 157 and Rs 875, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has shed 1.5% to Rs 197. ICICI Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra have slipped 1% each to Rs 971 and Rs 780, respectively.

Out of 2,591 stocks traded so far, 1,701 have advanced, 829 have declined and 61 are unchanged.
