Sensex up 78pts, BHEL zooms 3%

The Sensex has advanced 78 points (0.9%) to 8,822.

BHEL has zoomed over 3% (Rs 47) to Rs 1,385.

HLL is still up over 2% (Rs 4) at Rs 181. Reliance is down Rs 4 at Rs 840.

Infosys is now up 1.9% (Rs 52) at Rs 2,752. Satyam is steady at Rs 654 -up Rs 10.

HDFC is still up Rs 21 at Rs 1,107. Maruti is still up Rs 10 at Rs 609. Ranbaxy is steady at Rs 370 - up Rs 8.

Advances are ahead of declines - out of 2,453 scrips traded, 1,374 have moved up, 994 have declined and 85 are unchanged.
