Sensex up 79pts; breadth very +ve

The Sensex is now up 79 points at 13,696.

HDFC Bank has surged 2.5% to Rs 1,115. Satyam has rallied 2% to Rs 461, and Cipla has added 1.5% to Rs 253.

Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Bajaj Auto and HLL are up over 1% each at Rs 590, Rs 2,182, Rs 1,177, Rs 2,701 and Rs 238, respectively.

ACC and ONGC are the prominent losers.

The market breadth was positive - out of 1,825 stocks traded so far, 1,271 have advanced, 509 have declined and 45 are unchanged.
