Sensex up 79pts; Reliance gains over 2%

The Sensex is now up 79 points at 12,426.

Hindalco has surged nearly 3% to Rs 231. Tata Steel has added 1.8% to Rs 667.

Reliance has rallied over 2% to Rs 1,103.

Ranbaxy has moved up 1.7% to Rs 518, and Dr.Reddy's has gained over 1% at Rs 1,665.

Satyam and Wipro have spurted 1.6% each to Rs 779 and WiproRs 549, respectively.

ICICI Bank has dropped 1.5% to Rs 650, and HLL has declined 1.4% to Rs 289.

Out of 2,259 stocks traded so far, 1,496 have advanced, 702 have declined and 61 are unchanged.
