Sensex up 79pts; Wipro spurts 2%

The Sensex is now up 79 points at 13,696.

HDFC Bank and Wipro have advanced around 2% each to Rs 1,110 and Rs 595, respectively.

Satyam, Dr.Reddy's and TCS have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 459, Rs 746 and Rs 1,180, respectively.

Maruti, Cipla, NTPC, Tata Motors and HLL are up over 1% each at Rs 933, Rs 252, Rs 151, Rs 819 and Rs 238, respectivley.

The market breadth is positive - out of 2,306 stocks traded so far, 1,387 have advanced, 838 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
