Sensex up 7pts; breadth remains positive

The Sensex is now up seven points at 11,314.

BHEL is up 4% at Rs 2,223. Cipla and Tata Steel have gained nearly 3% each at Rs 655 and Rs 536, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has zoomed 2.2% to Rs 2754. Tata Motors has rallied nearly 2% to Rs 925, and Maruti has advanced 1.8% to Rs 871. Hero Honda is up 1.5% at Rs 905.

NTPC and Gujarat Ambuja have added 1.4% each to Rs 135 and Rs 104, respectively.

Reliance (Rs 804) and Tata Power (Rs 579) are up 1% each.

Ranbaxy and TCS have slipped 2.2% each to Rs 442 and Rs 1,926, respectively.

HLL has shed 2% to Rs 268. ONGC has dropped 1.8% to Rs 1,313.

Infosys has declined 1.4% to Rs 2,992. Larsen & Toubro and Wipro are down 1.2% each to Rs 2,432 and Rs 557, respectively.

Bharti Tele (Rs 411) and ITC (Rs 197) are down 1% each.

The market breadth continues to remain positive. Out of 2,400 stocks traded so far, 1,651 have moved up, 687 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
