Sensex up 7pts; Hindalco, HDFC Bank up 1%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 50 points at 13,187, and then touched a high of 13,191.

The index is now up seven points at 13,144.

Hindalco and HDFC Bank have advanced over 1% each to Rs 185 and Rs 1,029, respectively.

Tata Steel, TCS, BHEL, Hero Honda and Infosys are the other prominent gainers.
