The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 3,400, after the company announced its plans for a bonus issue before the opening bell. The company's board is slated to meet on April 14 to consider the proposal. ACC has zoomed 9% to Rs 913. Grasim has surged 4% to Rs 2,256, and Gujarat Ambuja has rallied 3.5% to Rs 111. Hindalco has gained nearly 4% at Rs 194. Tata Steel has moved up 2.7% to Rs 557. Tata Power has added 3.6% to Rs 606. Reliance Energy is up 2.3% at Rs 644. Larsen & Toubro has added 2.8% to Rs 2,712, and BHEL has advanced over 2% at Rs 2,400. Infosys is up 3.4% at Rs 3,220. On the other hand, Satyam has plunged 2.7% to Rs 835. Wipro, too, has sneaked into red. While HDFC Bank has declined 2.4% to Rs 821, ICICI Bank has slipped 1.6% to Rs 612. Ranbaxy and HDFC are down over 1% each to Rs 468 and Rs 1,337, respectively. |
