Sensex up 80pts; breadth +ve

The Sensex is now up 80 points at 12,965.

BHEL has surged 3% to Rs 2,158. Bajaj Auto and Larsen & Toubro have rallied around 2.5% each to Rs 2,550 and Rs 1,516, respectively.

ACC, Grasim, TCS, Hindalco and Wipro have soared around 2% each to Rs 797, Rs 2,111, Rs 1,236, Rs 131 and Rs 575, respectively.

HDFC and Bharti Airtel are up around 1.5% each at Rs 1,592 and Rs 761, respectively.

Reliance Communications has slipped 1.7% to Rs 416, and ITC is down over 1% at Rs 153.

The market breadth is positive - out of 1,968 stocks traded so far, 1,353 have advanced, 566 have declined and 49 are unchanged.
