Sensex up 80pts; breadth +ve

The Sensex is now up 80 points at 15,584.

ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel have surged over 2% each to Rs 916 and Rs 832, respectively.

Reliance Energy has moved up 1.8% to Rs 924, and Mahindra & Mahindra has advanced 1.3% to Rs 707.

ONGC has gained 1% at Rs 844.

Cipla has slipped 1.5% to Rs 169.

Out of 2,736 stocks traded so far, 1,750 have advanced, 917 have declined and 69 are unchanged.
