Sensex up 80pts; HLL, HDFC shine

The Sensex is now up 80 points at 12,090.

HLL has surged 2.3% to Rs 249. Reliance Communications, Cipla and HDFC have gained over 2% each at Rs 325, Rs 260 and Rs 1,359, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Ranbaxy and ITC have moved up nearly 2% each to Rs 2,688, Rs 422 and Rs 186, respectively.

ITC has added 1.7% to Rs 186. Dr.Reddy's, Hero Honda, Reliance Energy and BHEL are up over 1% each.

Tata Motors has slipped 1% to Rs 862.
