Sensex up 80pts; market breadth positive

The Sensex and is now up 80 points at 11,592.

Reliance Communications is up nearly 3% at Rs 298. Hindalco has surged nearly 2.5% to Rs 165.

Larsen & Toubro and Hero Honda have advanced 2% each to Rs 2,417 and Rs 709, respectively.

Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel and ONGC are up 1.5% each at Rs 516, Rs 416 and Rs 1,207, respectively.

HDFC Bank, Maruti, ITC, ICICI Bank and Reliance Energy are the other prominent gainers.

Ranbaxy has slipped 1.5% to Rs 395. Dr.Reddy's is down 1% at Rs 1,457.

Out of 2,528 stocks traded so far, 1,413 have advanced, 1,031 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
