Sensex up 80pts; Tata Steel drops 5%

The Sensex is now up 80 points at 13,687.

ACC has surged nearly 2% to Rs 822. Hindalco and Gujarat Ambuja have rallied 1.7% each to Rs 146 and Rs 116, respectively.

Ranbaxy has moved up 1.4% to Rs 341. Satyam has gained 1.3% at Rs 462.

Maruti, Reliance Communications, ICICI Bank, HLL and Wipro are up over 1% each at Rs 771, Rs 437, Rs 899, Rs 213 and Rs 580, respectively.

Tata Steel has dropped 4.8% to Rs 503.
