Sensex up 81pts; Hero Honda, REL rally

The Sensex is now up 81 points at 13,698.

Satyam has surged 4.5% to Rs 474. Hero Honda and Reliance Energy have rallied 3.5% each to Rs 734 and Rs 551, respectively.

Wipro and Reliance Communications have moved up 2.7% each to Rs 585 and Rs 427, respectively. Bharti Airtel has added 2.3% to Rs 638.

Larsen & Toubro has advanced 2% to Rs 1,375. Cipla and ONGC are up 1.5% each at Rs 262 and Rs 857, respectively.

ITC and HLL have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 181 and Rs 245, respectively. Infosys and HDFC Bank have slipped over 1% each to Rs 2,224 and Rs 1,078, respectively.

Out of 2,583 stocks traded so far, 1,328 have advanced, 1,173 have declined and 78 are unchanged.
