Sensex up 82pts; BSE Bankex up 2%

The Sensex is now up 82 points 14,011.

The BSE Bankex has advanced nearly 2% to 7328.

SBI and HDFC Bank have surged around 3% each to Rs 1,266 and Rs 1,039, respectively. ICICI Bank has moved up 1.6% to Rs 902.

Reliance Communications and BHEL have rallied around 2% each at Rs 485 and Rs 2,566, respectively.

HLL, Hindalco and NTPC have gained around 1.7% each at Rs 196, Rs 148 and Rs 159, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's and Tata Motors are up 1% each at Rs 664 and Rs 721, respectively.

Hero Honda has shed 2.5% to Rs 680. TCS and Infosys are down around 1% each at Rs 1,222 and Rs 1,955, respectively.

Out of 2,455 stocks traded so far, 1,597 have advanced, 782 have declined and 76 are unchanged.
