Sensex up 82pts; Guj Ambuja surges 4%

Fresh buying in the market lifted the Sensex to a new all-time intra-day high of 11,175. The index is now up 82 points at 11,168.

Gujarat Ambuja has rallied 3.7% to Rs 103. Ranbaxy is up 3.2% at Rs 411.

Satyam has added nearly 3% top Rs 844. Hindalco and Infosys have advanced 2.5% each to Rs 178 and Rs 3,031, respectively. Wipro has moved up 2.4% to Rs 541. BHEL has gained 2% at Rs 2,152.

Tata Power is down 1.5% at Rs 576.

The market breadth is extremely positive. Out of 2,543 stocks traded so far, 1,612 have advanced, 863 have declined and 68 are unchanged.
