Sensex up 82pts; HDFC Bank surges 3%

The Sensex is now up 82 points at 13,699.

HDFC Bank has soared over 3% to Rs 1,121. Wipro and Dr.Reddy's have surged 2.3% each to Rs 597 and Rs 751, respectively.

TCS has advanced 2% to Rs 1,187. Satyam has gained 1.6% at Rs 459.

Maruti, ICICI Bank, HLL, Cipla and Bajaj Auto are up over 1% each at Rs 932, Rs 867, Rs 239, Rs 252 and Rs 2,701, respectively.

The market breadth is positive - out of 2,405 stocks traded so far, 1,389 have advanced, 935 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
