Sensex up 83pts; Bharti moves up

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 62 points at 14,868, touched a high of 14,907, and is now up 83 points at 14,889.

Bharti Airtel has moved up 1.4% to Rs 879. HDFC, Cipla, ACC, ICICI Bank, Reliance Communications and Hindustan Unilever are up over 1% each to Rs 2,022, Rs 216, Rs 948, Rs 976, Rs 542 and Rs 197, respectively.

Ambuja Cements, Hindalco and Tata Steel are the other prominent gainers.
