Sensex up 83pts; Bharti Tele, TCS lead

The Sensex is now up 83 points at 12,022.

Bharti Tele and TCS have advanced over 2% each to Rs 421 and Rs 1,988, respectively.

BHEL and Larsen & Toubro have gained 2% each at Rs 2,413 and Rs 2,714, respectively.

While ITC has advanced 2% to Rs 205, HLL has added 1.3% to Rs 293.

Hindalco has spurted 2% to Rs 219. Reliance has moved up nearly 2% to Rs 996.

HDFC has gained 1.8% at Rs 1,320, and HDFC Bank has advanced 1.5% to Rs 849.

ONGC has plunged 3.3% to Rs 1,340.

Infosys and Maruti have dropped 1.7% each to Rs 3,171 and Rs 908, respectively.

Out of 2,497 stocks traded so far, 1,597 have advanced, 838 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
