Sensex up 83pts; Rel Comm gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 83 points at 12,463.

Maruti, Tata Steel and Bajaj Auto have advanced over 2% each to Rs 965, Rs 530 and Rs 2987, respectively.

Tata Motors, Reliance Communications, Gujarat Ambuja and Ranbaxy have moved up nearly 2% each to Rs 858, Rs 346, Rs 117 and Rs 438, respectively.

NTPC, Grasim and Reliance Energy are up around 1.5% each at Rs 130, Rs 2,515 and Rs 487, respectively.

ITC, HDFC, Dr.Reddy's, ACC, Satyam and Hindalco are up over 1% each.

ICICI Bank and Hero Honda are down around 1% each.

Out of 2,385 stocks traded so far, 1,617 have advanced, 703 have declined and 65 are unchanged.
