Sensex up 84pts; Reliance zooms 7%

The Sensex touched an all-time intra-day high of 11,999.40, and is now up 84 points at 11,980.

Reliance has zoomed nearly 7% to Rs 982. Hindalco has surged almost 6% to Rs 216. Tata Steel has rallied 4.6% to Rs 637.

Tata Motors has moved up 2.4% to Rs 946. Grasim and Bajaj Auto are up 1.5% each at Rs 2,344 and Rs 2,990, respectively.

HDFC and NTPC have dropped 2.4% each to Rs 1,270 and Rs 139, respectively.

TCS and Bharti Tele have declined nearly 2% each to Rs 1,980 and Rs 405, respectively.

Cipla, Ranbaxy and Hero Honda are down 1.5% each at Rs 662, Rs 474 and Rs 860, respectively.

Infosys has slipped 1% to Rs 3,248.

Out of 2,490 stocks traded so far, 1,372 have advanced, 1052 have declined and 68 are unchanged.
