Sensex up 84pts; Wipro, Bharti slip 1%

The Sensex is now up 84 points at 15,403.

Dr.Reddy's has soared 3.8% to Rs 665. NTPC has surged 3.4% to Rs 179.

Cipla has rallied 2.7% to Rs 172, and ICICI Bank has gained 2.5% at Rs 907.

Maruti, Mahindra & Mahindra and ITC have advanced around 1.5% each to Rs 882, Rs 720 and Rs 173, respectively.

BHEL has moved up 1.3% to Rs 1,914. Ranbaxy and HDFC Bank are up 1% each at Rs 396 and Rs 1,182, respectively.

ONGC has shed 1.6% to Rs 844. Wipro and Bharti Airtel have slipped over 1% each to Rs 477 and Rs 870, respectively.

Out of 2,731 stocks traded so far, 1,929 have advanced, 748 have declined and 54 are unchanged.
