Sensex up 85pts; Tata Steel, Bharti lead

The Sensex is now up 85 points at 11,008.

Tata Steel has surged over 2% to Rs 521. Bharti Airtel has gained nearly 2% at Rs 406.

HDFC, Hindalco, Ranbaxy and TCS have advanced 1.7% each to Rs 1,247, Rs 163, Rs 399 and Rs 959, respectively.

ONGC and Bajaj Auto are up nearly 1.5% each.

SBI is down 1% at Rs 822.

The market breadth is positive - out of 2,148 stocks traded so far, 1,186 have advanced, 887 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
