Sensex up 86pts; NTPC, Tata Steel surge 2%

The Sensex is now up 86 points at 14,954.

Ambuja Cements has soared over 4% to Rs 132.

NTPC and Tata Steel have surged rallied 2% each to Rs 168 and Rs 648, respectively.

ACC and HDFC have surged 1.8% each to Rs 1,019 and Rs 1,981, respectively. Hindustan Unilever has gained 1.5% at Rs 199.

Grasim, BHEL and Reliance Communications are up over 1% each to Rs 2,920, Rs 1,713 and Rs 527, respectively.

Infosys has slipped over 1% to Rs 1,929.
