Sensex up 86pts; Rel Energy soars 6%

The Sensex is now up 86 points at 19,870.

Reliance Energy has soared nearly 6% to Rs 1,891.

Ranbaxy, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors and Maruti have surged 2% each to Rs 424, Rs 1,020, Rs 783 and Rs 1,110, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Mahindra & Mahindra have advanced around 1.5% each to Rs 778 and Rs 751, respectively.

ONGC, NTPC and Grasim are the other major gainers.

TCS, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,034, Rs 1,598 and Rs 1,225, respectively.

Satyam, Wipro and Infosys are the other prominent losers.
