Sensex up 86pts; SBI gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 86 points 14,303.

ICICI Bank has surged 2.5% to Rs 987. SBI and Dr.Reddy's have advanced around 2% each to Rs 1,164 and Rs 725, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and HLL have rallied 1.5% each to Rs 1,714 and Rs 214, respectively.

BHEL, Tata Motors, Ranbaxy, Reliance and ACC are up over 1% each at Rs 2,526, Rs 768, Rs 373, Rs 1,617 and Rs 842, respectively.

Hero Honda has shed 2.4% to Rs 671. Satyam has slipped 1.6% to Rs 459, and Gujarat Ambuja has dropped 1.3% to Rs 119.

Hindalco and HDFC are down 1% each at Rs 148 and Rs 1,737, respectively.

Out of 2,519 stocks traded so far, 1,276 have declined, 1,158 have advanced and 85 are unchanged.
