Sensex up 88pts; breadth firm

The Sensex is now up 88 points at 14,632.

Cipla has surged 1.8% to Rs 222, and BHEL has gained 1.6% at Rs 1,422.

ICICI Bank has advanced 1.3% to Rs 931. Infosys, Reliance Communications, NTPC, Gujarat Ambuja, SBI and Tata Steel are up over 1% each.

Hero Honda has shed 1.5% to Rs 721. ITC and Tata Motors are down 1% each at Rs 162 and Rs 750, respectively.

Out of 2,479 stocks traded so far, 1,445 have advanced, 945 have declined and 89 are unchanged.
