Sensex up 88pts; Dr.Reddy's slips 2%

The Sensex is now up 88 points at 12,875.

Tata Steel has soared 6.6% to Rs 467. Reliance Energy has surged 3% to Rs 502, and Grasim has rallied 2.5% to Rs 2,114.

HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have advanced 2.2% each to Rs 947 and Rs 839, respectively. SBI has added 2% to Rs 954.

ACC and Maruti have gained nearly 2% each to Rs 728 and Rs 759, respectively. HLL and HDFC have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 201 and Rs 1,521, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's slipped 1.7% to Rs 733. Hero Honda and NTPC are down 1% each at Rs 636 and Rs 159, respectively.

Out of 2,530 stocks traded so far, 1,661 have advanced, 794 have declined and 75 are unchanged.
