Sensex up 88pts; HDFC Bank slips 4%

The Sensex is now up 88 points at 10,911.

The index touched a high of 11,001 - up 378 points from the day's low of 10,623.

ICICI Bank has soared over 6% to Rs 606. Dr.Reddy's has surged over 4% to Rs 1,483.

Cipla, Satyam and ACC are up around 3.5% each at Rs 236, Rs 710 and Rs 777, respectively.

HDFC Bank has slipped over 4% to Rs 753.

Tata Power (Rs 535), HDFC (Rs 1,210),  Reliance Energy (Rs 537), Reliance (Rs 949), Bajaj Auto (Rs 2,920) and ONGC (Rs 1,214) are down 2-3% each.

Out of 2,333 stocks traded so far, 1,553 have advanced, 740  have declined and the rest are unchanged.
