Sensex up 88pts; SBI firmly up 4%

The Sensex is now up 88 points at 11,620.

SBI has advanced 4% to Rs 909. Hero Honda and Reliance Energy have added 1.7% each to Rs 725 and Rs 464, respectively.

Tata Steel, ONGC and Grasim are up around 1.5% each at Rs 464, Rs 1,208, Rs 525 and Rs 2,228, respectively.

Hindalco, Larsen & Toubro, Gujarat Ambuja and BHEL are up 1% each.

HDFC Bank has slipped 1% to Rs 845.

Out of 2,162 stocks traded so far, 1,520 have advanced, 576 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
