Sensex up 89pts; EIH zooms 8%

The Sensex is now up 89 points at 10,942.

The index swung almost 150 points in the first few trades of the day.

The market breadth is positive - out of 2,072 stocks traded so far, 1,237 have advanced, 770 have declined and 65 are unchanged.

EIH has zoomed over 8% to Rs 703 ahead of the company's board meet tomorrow to consider a bonus issue. Rei Agro, Vishal Exports, Kothari Products, KRBL, Infotech Enterprises, Shaw Wallace, Wyeth, Finolex Industries and Punjab Tractors are the other major gainers.

Bayer has plunged over 5% to Rs 506. NRB Bearings, Wartsila, Supreme Industries, Sesha Paper, Dwarikesh Sugar, Monsanto, West Coast, Engineers India, Jaiprakash, D-Link India and BEML are the other major losers.
