Sensex up 89pts; Guj Amb drops 3%

The Sensex is now up 89 points 12,453.

Infosys has surged 4.7% to Rs 1,995. TCS has rallied 3.7% to Rs 1,049. Satyam has gained 2.8% at Rs 419, and Wipro has added 2.3% to Rs 532.

HDFC Bank has moved up 2.5% to Rs 963. HDFC is up 1.8% at Rs 1,440. Bharti Airtel is up 1% at Rs 473.

Gujarat Ambuja has shed 2.7% to Rs 120. Tata Motors has slipped 1.6% to Rs 897.

Hindalco, BHEL and Hero Honda are down over 1% each to Rs 173, Rs Rs 2,310 and Rs 743, respectively.

Out of 2,446 stocks traded so far, 1,358 have declined, 1,029 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
