Sensex up 89pts; HDFC slips 1.55

The Sensex is now up 89 points at 13,706.

Reliance Energy has surged 3.5% to Rs 551. Wipro has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 585.

Satyam and Bharti Airtel have advanced over 2% each to Rs 463 and Rs 636, respectively. Larsen & Toubro, TCS and Cipla are up 1.8% each at Rs 1,373, Rs 1,167 and Rs 263, respectively.

ONGC,  Reliance Communications and Gujarat Ambuja are up the other smart gainers.

ICICI Bank, Hero Honda, SBI, Bajaj Auto and Reliance,  has moved up 1.5% to Rs 884. Gujarat Ambuja and SBI are up over 1% each.

HDFC has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,620. Tata Steel is down 1% at Rs 471.

Out of 2,435 stocks traded so far, 1,410 have advanced, 955 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
