Sensex up 89pts; Tata Steel slips 2%

The Sensex is now up 89 at 19,885.

Bharti Airtel has zoomed over 5% to Rs 989. DLF has soared 3.6% to Rs 1,007.

Infosys has surged 3.3% to Rs 1,688. Reliance Communications and HDFC have rallied 2.3% each to Rs 736 and Rs 2,877, respectively.

HDFC Bank has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 1,718. Ranbaxy, SBI and TCS have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 403, Rs 2,429 and Rs 1,048, respectively.

ICICI Bank has gained 1% at Rs 1,211.

Tata Steel has dropped nearly 2% to Rs 832. Ambuja Cements has shed 1.6% at Rs 151.

ITC and Reliance have slipped 1.4% each to Rs 190 and Rs 2,834, respectively.

ACC, BHEL, Grasim and ONGC are down over 1% each at Rs 1,069, Rs 2,755, Rs 3,641 and Rs 1,179, respectively.

Out of 2,786 stocks traded so far, 1,537 have advanced, 1,203 have declined and 46 are unchanged.
