Sensex up 8pts; ONGC, REL move up

The Sensex is now up 8 points at 14,927.

Tata Steel has soared 6.4% to Rs 644.

ONGC, Reliance Energy, HDFC Bank, Hindalco and Grasim have  gained over 1% each at Rs 819, Rs 776, Rs 1,165, Rs 155 and Rs 2,897, respectively.

Ranbaxy, Infosys, NTPC and ICICI Bank are down over 1% each at Rs 363, Rs 1,861, Rs 165 and Rs 853, respectively.

The market breadth is positive - out of 2,571 stocks traded so far, 1,363 have advanced, 1,140 have declined and 68 are unchanged.
