Sensex up 8pts; RIL, Bharti stand firm

The Sensex is now up eight points at 12,245.

Tata Motors has rallied 2% to Rs 853, and Tata Steel has moved up 1.5% to Rs 504.

Reliance has gained 1.5% at Rs 1,173, and Bharti Airtel has spurted over 1% to Rs 474.

Bajaj Auto has slipped 1.2% to Rs 2,883. ITC and TCS are down 1% each to Rs 186 and Rs 1,033, respectively.

HLL, HDFC and Dr.Reddy's are the other notable losers.

Out of 2,460 stocks traded so far, 1,245 have declined, 1,139 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
