Sensex up 90pts; ITC firm

The Sensex is now up 90 points at 13,070.

ITC has surged 3.5% to Rs 152. NTPC has soared 3% to Rs 150, and HDFC Bank has advanced 2.5% to Rs 957.

Dr.Reddy's has rallied over 2% to Rs 721. Hero Honda, Tata Motors and Gujarat Ambuja have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 690, Rs 726 and Rs 106, respectively.

Maruti, Hindalco and Infosys are up 1% each at Rs 821, Rs 130 and Rs 2,012, respectively.

TCS has shed 1.5% to Rs 1,229. HLL and HDFC have slipped 1% each to Rs 202, Rs 1,518, respectively.

Out of 2,457 stocks traded so far, 1,597 have advanced, 785 have declined and 75 are unchanged.
