Sensex up 90pts; ONGC gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 90 points at 15,594.

Bharti Airtel has surged 2.6% to Rs 836, and ICICI Bank has advanced 2.4% to Rs 916.

ONGC has moved up 1.8% to Rs 851, and Reliance Energy has added 1.6% to Rs 923.

Mahindra & Mahindra and SBI have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 709 and Rs 1,670, respectively.

Reliance Communications is up 1.3% at Rs 538. Hindustan Unilever, Maruti and Tata Steel are the other major gainers.

Cipla has shed 1.7% at Rs 169.

Out of 2,763 stocks traded so far, 1,801 have advanced, 890 have declined and 72 are unchanged.
