Sensex up 90pts; pharma stocks firm

The Sensex is now up 90 points at 12,100.

Cipla has surged 2.5% to Rs 261. Dr.Reddy's has added 2% to Rs 761. Ranbaxy has spurted over 1% to Rs 419.

HLL and ITC have gained 2.2% each at Rs 249 and Rs 186, respectively. Larsen & Toubro is up 2% at Rs 2,696.

HDFC has moved up 1.7% to Rs 1,353. Reliance Energy has added 1.5% to Rs 471. Hero Honda has advanced 1% to Rs 775.

Tata Power is down 1% at Rs 522.
