Sensex up 91 pts, ITC flares up

The Sensex is hovering around 6,470 & 6,480 levels in early noon trades as the opening session rally has steadied following lack of further buying support.

The Sensex is now up 91 points at 6,472, while the Nifty, too, is steady at 2,020 - up 26 points.

ITC has vaulted 4.24% (Rs 54) to Rs 1,335. While ONGC has logged 1.37% gains (Rs 12) to Rs 871, Reliance is trading with a steady gain of 1.24% (s 7) at Rs 550. HLL is up a rupee at Rs 132.

Infosys has moved up 1.39% (Rs 30) to Rs 2,199. While Wipro is trading firm with a gain of 2.52% (Rs 16) at Rs 646, Satyam is up nearly 3% (Rs 12) at Rs 408.

ICICI Bank has surged 5.10% (Rs 19) to Rs 402. HDFC Bank at Rs 543 (up Rs 11 or 2%) and SBI at Rs 664 (up Rs 3) are largely unchanged from their earlier gains.

Zee has added 2% (Rs 3) to Rs 138.

Bajaj has gained 2% (Rs 21) to Rs 1,054. While Hero Honda (down Rs 6 to Rs 538) is exhibiting a subdued trend, Tata Motors is down a rupee at Rs 410.

Hindalco (up Rs 16 to Rs 1,299) and Tata Power (up Rs 5 to Rs 361) are holding on to their gains. HDFC, however, has lost 1.54% (Rs 11) to Rs 724.
