Sensex up 91pts, Bharti zooms 4%

After moving in a range between 7,660-7,670 in the first half, the market has shot up further in early noon trades on extended buying in most of the old and new economy stocks.

The Sensex, which soared to a high of 7,689, is now up 91 points at 7,686. The Nifty has moved up 14 points to 2,343.

Reliance has flared up 1.56% (Rs 11) to Rs 718, and ITC has appreciated 1.28% (Rs 22) to Rs 1,724. ONGC, however, is unchanged with a per cent loss (Rs 6) at Rs 949.

TCS has advanced 1.75% (Rs 22) to Rs 1,307. While Infosys has added 1.13% (Rs 25) to Rs 2,289, Wipro has inched up 1.12% (Rs 8) to Rs 724. Satyam at Rs 510 (up Rs 13 or 2.52%) is holding on to its early gains.

SBI has gained 1.43% (Rs 11) to Rs 788, and ICICI Bank has jumped 2.13% (Rs 10) to Rs 493.

Bharti has soared nearly 4% (Rs 12) to Rs 303. While Tata Power has surged 2.32% (Rs 10) to Rs 421, Tisco is up 1.20% (Rs 5) at Rs 393.

Hero Honda has moved up 2.51% (Rs 15) to Rs 624, and Tata Motors is up 1.34% (Rs 6) at Rs 478. Maruti, however, is still trading at lower levels at Rs 480 - down Rs 6 or 1.20%.
