Sensex up 91pts; Grasim, Maruti, Infosys shine

The Sensex touched a high of 10,296, and is now up 90 points at 10,291.

Grasim has surged 3% to Rs 1,698. Gujarat Ambuja has added 2.6% to Rs 88.35, and Maruti has moved up 2.4% to Rs 797.

Infosys has advanced 2.5% to Rs 2,825. While Satyam has spurted 2% to Rs 784, TCS has gained 1% at Rs 1,683.

Dr.Reddy's (Rs 1,330), HDFC Bank (Rs 724), HDFC (Rs 1,384), ITC (Rs 166) and ACC (Rs 601) have surged over 1.5% each.

Tata Power, SBI, Hero Honda, Hindalco, Tata Power, Cipla, Ranbaxy and BHEL have also posted smart gains.

HLL down Rs 2 at Rs 241 is the only notable loser among the Sensex stocks.

The market breadth continues to remain positive. Out of 2,427 stocks traded so far, 1,375 have advanced, 978 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
