Sensex up 91pts; M&M rallies 3%

The Sensex is now up 91 points at 15,084.

Mahindra & Mahindra has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 674. Tata Motors and Reliance Communications have surged around 2.5% each to Rs 693 and Rs 533, respectively.

Ranbaxy has gained 2% at Rs 380, and Bajaj Auto has advanced 1.5% to Rs 2,355.

Reliance, BHEL, Maruti and Infosys are up over 1% each at Rs 1,912, Rs 1,873, Rs 843 and Rs 1,852, respectively.

Grasim, Hindalco and Ambuja Cements are the prominent losers.

Out of 2,458 stocks traded so far, 1,574 have advanced, 812 have declined and 72 are unchanged.
