Sensex up 92 pts, RIL moves up

The Sensex is up 92 points at 7,304 as stocks of select heavyweights, banking, auto and cement companies continue to exhibit strong buying support. The Nifty is steady at 2,219 - up 23 points.

Reliance Industries has advanced 1.80% (Rs 11) to Rs 632, and ONGC is up a per cent (Rs 9) at Rs 928.

ICICI Bank has shot up 6% (Rs 26) to Rs 450. HDFC Bank has logged 2.23% gains (Rs 14) to Rs 665.

ACC is still up 3.78% (Rs 15) at Rs 409, while Grasim has gained 1.52% (Rs 16) to Rs 1,076.

Bajaj (up Rs 55 or 4% to Rs 1394), Hero Honda (up Rs 12 or 1.99% to Rs 599) and Tata Motors (up Rs 9 or 2% to Rs 443) are trading at higher levels.

Bharti at Rs 259 (up Rs 5 or 2%) has trimmed gains due to profit-taking. HDFC (up Rs 14 or 1.49% to Rs 927) and Hindalco (up Rs 25 or 2% to Rs 1,241) are holding on to their gains.

TCS at Rs 1,320 (up Rs 8) and Satyam at Rs 503 (up Rs 6 or 1.29%) are still exhibiting steady buying trend. Infosys, however, has edged lower to Rs 2,318 - down Rs 15. Wipro, too, has slipped into the red to Rs 720 - down Rs 3.
